Lead and manage the security team to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and facilities at all times.
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Conduct regular risk assessments and make necessary adjustments to security measures based on potential threats.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify security needs and implement appropriate solutions.
Train and educate staff on security protocols and procedures to promote a culture of safety and security throughout the organization.
Monitor and analyze security operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Investigate and report any security incidents or breaches, and take appropriate actions to prevent future occurrences.
Ensure all security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and alarms, are functioning properly and make necessary repairs or replacements as needed.
Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in security technology, and make recommendations for upgrades or changes to enhance the organization's security measures.
Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement and other emergency response agencies to coordinate responses to security incidents.
Manage the security budget and resources effectively to ensure the organization's security needs are met within budgetary constraints.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for the security team, promoting teamwork, professional development, and high performance.
Participate in the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of security personnel.
Act as a role model for ethical and professional conduct, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Security Management: A Successful Security Team Leader At Tenet Healthcare Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within The Security Field. This Includes Managing A Team, Developing And Implementing Security Protocols, And Conducting Risk Assessments.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Security Regulations And Protocols: Tenet Healthcare Is A Healthcare Organization, So A Security Team Leader Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Healthcare Security Regulations And Protocols. This Includes Hipaa Compliance, Emergency Response Procedures, And Protecting Patient Information.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Leader, The Security Team Leader Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team. They Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally With Team Members, Other Departments, And External Stakeholders.
Crisis Management Experience: In The Event Of A Security Breach Or Crisis, The Security Team Leader Must Be Able To Remain Calm And Effectively Handle The Situation. They Should Have Experience In Crisis Management And Be Able To Make Quick Decisions Under Pressure.
Technical Expertise: In Today's Digital Age, Security Threats Can Come In Many Forms, Including Cyber Attacks. The Security Team Leader Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Cybersecurity And Be Able To Assess And Address Potential Threats. They Should Also Be Proficient In Security Technology And Systems Used By Tenet Healthcare.
