As a Rehab Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with their rehabilitation journey, under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists. Assist licensed Physical Therapists in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and implement effective treatment plans for patients.
Monitor and report on patients' progress during rehabilitation sessions.
Set up and maintain equipment and supplies needed for therapy sessions.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Help patients with exercises and activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.
Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
Continuously strive to improve skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach in all interactions.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Rehab Technician At Tenet Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Basic Understanding Of Academic Subjects And Is Capable Of Following Instructions.
Certification In Physical Therapy: Tenet Healthcare Requires Rehab Technicians To Hold A Certification In Physical Therapy. This Certification Showcases The Individual's Knowledge And Skills In The Field And Ensures That They Are Equipped To Assist With Physical Therapy Treatments.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Rehabilitation Facility, Is Highly Preferred For This Role. It Demonstrates The Individual's Familiarity With Healthcare Protocols And Their Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Rehab Technician, The Individual Will Be Working Closely With Physical Therapists, Patients, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential To Effectively Communicate Treatment Plans And Progress To The Team.
Physical Fitness: This Role May Involve Assisting Patients With Physical Exercises And Movements, Therefore, A Certain Level Of Physical Fitness Is Necessary. Tenet Healthcare May Require Candidates To Pass A Physical Fitness Test To Ensure They Are Physically Capable Of Performing The Job Duties.
