Job Description

Tenet Healthcare is currently seeking a highly motivated Rehab Technician to join our dynamic team in our Physical Therapy department. As a Rehab Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. Assist licensed therapists in providing high-quality care to patients by following treatment plans and providing support during therapy sessions.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment for patients and staff.
Monitor and document patient progress and report any concerns or changes to licensed therapists.
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for therapy sessions.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive and comfortable therapy experience.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their recovery process.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
Uphold the values and mission of Tenet Healthcare by providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with other members of the therapy team.
Take initiative and demonstrate a strong work ethic to ensure the smooth operation of the Physical Therapy department.
Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and superiors.

Job Qualifications

Degree In Physical Therapy: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Physical Therapy Or A Related Field Is Required For A Rehab Technician Position At Tenet Healthcare. This Ensures A Solid Foundation In The Principles And Techniques Of Physical Therapy.
Experience In A Rehab Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Rehab Or Physical Therapy Setting Is Preferred For This Role. This Could Include Internships, Volunteer Work, Or Previous Employment In A Similar Position.
Knowledge Of Rehab Equipment: Familiarity With Common Rehab Equipment, Such As Exercise Machines, Hot/Cold Therapy Tools, And Assistive Devices, Is Essential For A Rehab Technician. This Includes Knowing How To Set Up And Safely Operate The Equipment.
Basic Medical Knowledge: A Basic Understanding Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology Is Important For A Rehab Technician. This Knowledge Will Help Them Communicate Effectively With Patients And Understand Their Conditions And Treatment Plans.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For A Rehab Technician, As They Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physical Therapists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Effectively, Show Empathy, And Maintain A Professional Demeanor At All Times.
