  1. Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with respiratory illnesses in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Administer and monitor the effectiveness of respiratory treatments, such as oxygen therapy, medication administration, and mechanical ventilation.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-management techniques.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment, and make necessary adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.
  6. Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of respiratory equipment, including troubleshooting and performing routine checks.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize the risk of infection and promote a safe working environment.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in respiratory therapy and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  9. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  10. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and promote positive outcomes.
  11. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all respiratory therapy services provided.
  12. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the delivery of respiratory therapy services.
  13. Contribute to a positive and professional work environment by actively participating in team meetings, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy From A Recognized Institution Is Typically Required For A Registered Respiratory Therapist Position At Tenet Healthcare.

  • Current State Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Valid Respiratory Therapy License In The State In Which They Will Be Practicing. This License Must Be Kept Current And In Good Standing.

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (Crt) Or Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Credentials: Tenet Healthcare Requires All Registered Respiratory Therapist Candidates To Hold Either A Crt Or Rrt Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).

  • Bls/Acls Certification: Candidates Must Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications From The American Heart Association. These Certifications Must Be Kept Current And In Good Standing.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Tenet Healthcare Prefers Candidates With At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working As A Respiratory Therapist In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Include Working With A Variety Of Patient Populations And Respiratory Conditions.
