
Registered Nurse - Wound Care

- Provide exceptional wound care services to patients, utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge.
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patient assessment and medical history.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, prevention, and management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication administration.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on current wound care practices and techniques through ongoing education and training.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing compassionate and empathetic care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure the highest level of patient safety and quality of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for other nurses and healthcare professionals in wound care management.
- Continuously assess and maintain wound care equipment and supplies to ensure availability and proper functioning.
- Cultivate a positive and professional work environment by demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and mutual respect.
Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Wound Care.
Wound Care Certification (Wcc) From The National Alliance Of Wound Care And Ostomy (Nawco) Or Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Nurses Society (Wocn).
Demonstrated Knowledge Of Wound Care Protocols, Treatments, And Products.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Team Members And Educate Patients On Wound Care.
