We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Transition Nursery department. As a Transition Nursery Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with newborns and their families during a critical time of transition. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strong clinical background and a passion for caring for newborns.   1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to newborns and their families in the Transition Nursery department.
  2. Monitor and assess the health status of newborns, including vital signs, feeding patterns, and overall well-being.
  3. Communicate effectively with parents and families, providing education and support during this critical time of transition.
  4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each newborn.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Monitor and document patient progress, including any changes in condition or response to treatments.
  7. Ensure patient safety and infection control protocols are followed at all times.
  8. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and respond to potential complications in newborns.
  9. Provide emotional support and comfort to families during times of stress and uncertainty.
  10. Stay current on best practices and advancements in neonatal care, incorporating new knowledge into daily practice.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work culture.
  14. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
  15. Continuously demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect for patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Level Ii Or Iii Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu).

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Transition Nursery Protocols, Procedures, And Equipment.
