We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse for our Transition Nursery department.   1. Provide high-quality and compassionate nursing care to newborns and their families in the Transition Nursery department.
  2. Monitor and assess the health status of newborns, including vital signs, feeding, and development.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  4. Educate parents and family members on newborn care, including feeding, safety, and development.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  7. Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  9. Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  11. Maintain a professional and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the Transition Nursery department.
  13. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends in newborn care and incorporate best practices into daily work.
  14. Adhere to Tenet Healthcare's policies and procedures, including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
  15. Represent Tenet Healthcare in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Position, Showing A Strong Foundation In Nursing Education And Theory.

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License: A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Where The Position Is Located Is Necessary For This Role.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification: Nrp Certification Is Required For This Position, Demonstrating Knowledge And Skills In Neonatal Resuscitation.

  • Experience In Transition Nursery: Previous Experience In A Transition Nursery Or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) Is Preferred, Showing A Strong Understanding Of Caring For Newborns And Their Mothers During The Transition Period.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: This Role Requires Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Families, As Well As Strong Critical Thinking Skills To Make Quick And Accurate Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.
