  1. Provide safe and efficient post-operative care to patients in the recovery room.
  2. Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall condition, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  4. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and address potential complications or adverse reactions.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and any necessary follow-up instructions.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and legal requirements.
  9. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in the recovery room.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development and continuously improve clinical skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License: The Candidate Must Hold An Active And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Where The Tenet Healthcare Facility Is Located. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Practice As A Registered Nurse.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls). These Certifications Indicate That The Candidate Is Trained In Emergency Procedures And Can Provide Immediate Care In Case Of Cardiac Arrest Or Other Life-Threatening Situations.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Post-Anesthesia Recovery: Tenet Healthcare Requires Candidates To Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Post-Anesthesia Recovery Setting. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Challenges And Procedures Of Caring For Patients In The Recovery Room.

  • Knowledge Of Patient Monitoring Equipment: The Candidate Must Have Knowledge And Experience In Using Patient Monitoring Equipment, Such As Vital Signs Monitors And Pulse Oximeters. This Is Necessary For Monitoring Patients' Vital Signs And Identifying Any Potential Complications During The Recovery Process.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Registered Nurses In The Recovery Room Must Work Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, And Other Nurses. Therefore, Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration And Patient Care.
