
Registered Nurse - Pre Admission Testing

- Conduct pre-admission testing: The main responsibility of the Pre Admission Testing Nurse is to conduct thorough pre-surgery assessments on patients to ensure they are physically and mentally prepared for their upcoming procedure.
- Collaborate with medical team: The nurse will work closely with the medical and surgical teams to gather and review patient information, discuss any potential risks or concerns, and provide recommendations for the patient's care plan.
- Educate patients: It is the nurse's responsibility to educate patients on what to expect during the pre-admission testing process and answer any questions or concerns they may have. The nurse will also provide pre-operative instructions and address any specific needs or concerns the patient may have.
- Monitor patient progress: The Pre Admission Testing Nurse will monitor patient's progress and provide necessary support and interventions to ensure their physical and emotional well-being before their surgery.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records: The nurse will be responsible for accurately documenting all pre-admission testing procedures, results, and any other relevant information in the patient's medical records.
- Maintain a safe environment: The nurse will ensure that the pre-admission testing area is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies. They will also follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Role, Providing A Solid Foundation Of Knowledge In Nursing Principles And Practices.
Registered Nurse License: A Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License Is Essential For This Position, Demonstrating A Thorough Understanding Of State Regulations And Standards For Nursing Practice.
Clinical Experience: At Least 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Registered Nurse Is Preferred, With A Strong Background In Pre-Admission Testing And Patient Assessment.
Cpr/Bls Certification: Current Certification In Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Cpr) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Is Required For This Role, Ensuring The Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Nurse Will Be Responsible For Conducting Patient Assessments, Educating Patients And Families, And Collaborating With Interdisciplinary Teams.
