  1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer and other medical conditions in the Med Oncology unit.
  2. Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical team members.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
  4. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and any potential side effects or complications.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  6. Advocate for and maintain patient rights, privacy, and dignity at all times.
  7. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records, following established guidelines and policies.
  8. Continuously assess and improve nursing care practices to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  9. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, helping them cope with the challenges of cancer treatment.
  10. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  11. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in oncology nursing through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  12. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by fostering open communication and teamwork among colleagues.
  13. Serve as a role model and mentor to less experienced nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  14. Adhere to the organization's values and mission, and promote a culture of patient-centered care and excellence.
  15. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Equivalent From An Accredited Nursing Program.

  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where The Job Is Located.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Med Oncology Or Related Field.

  • Current Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Preferred.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients And Their Families.
