
Registered Nurse - GI Lab Endoscopy

- Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse will be to ensure the highest level of care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures in the GI Lab. This includes assessing patient needs, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: The RN will work closely with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure a smooth and efficient experience for patients.
- Perform endoscopy procedures: The RN will be responsible for performing endoscopy procedures, including preparing equipment, assisting the physician, and monitoring the patient's condition during and after the procedure.
- Maintain accurate records: The RN will document patient information, procedures, and medications administered in a timely and accurate manner. This information is crucial for maintaining patient safety and continuity of care.
- Educate patients: The RN will play a vital role in educating patients and their families about their condition, procedures, and post-procedure care. This will include providing information on lifestyle changes, medications, and potential complications.
- Ensure compliance with protocols and regulations: The RN will follow all hospital protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. They will also adhere to all state and federal regulations related to patient care.
- Monitor patient progress: The RN will monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the physician and healthcare team. They will also assist in developing and implementing care plans to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain equipment and supplies: The RN will ensure the GI Lab is properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment, and report any malfunctions or needs to the appropriate department.
- Provide emotional support: The RN will provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the endoscopy procedure, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge: The RN will participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current on advancements in endoscopy procedures and
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Equivalent From An Accredited Nursing Program.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Gi Lab Or Endoscopy Setting.
Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications.
Knowledge And Experience With Endoscopic Procedures, Equipment, And Sedation Protocols.
