  1. Develop and implement radiation safety protocols and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Oversee and monitor all radiation safety activities and procedures throughout the organization.
  3. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to educate and train staff on proper radiation safety practices.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all radiation safety activities and incidents.
  6. Coordinate with external agencies and authorities to ensure proper reporting and documentation of any radiation-related incidents.
  7. Monitor and assess the use of radiation equipment and materials to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  8. Stay current on industry developments and advancements in radiation safety practices and integrate them into the organization's protocols.
  9. Investigate and resolve any radiation safety-related concerns or complaints.
  10. Serve as a resource and point of contact for radiation safety-related inquiries from staff, patients, and the community.
  11. Collaborate with other department heads and senior leadership to develop and implement emergency response plans for radiation-related incidents.
  12. Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors by enforcing radiation safety measures.
  13. Identify and report any potential risks or violations to senior management and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  14. Develop and manage the budget for radiation safety equipment, supplies, and training.
  15. Participate in professional development activities to maintain expertise in radiation safety practices and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Physics, Radiation Safety, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Radiation Safety Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Certification From The American Board Of Health Physics (Abhp) Or The National Registry Of Radiation Protection Technologists (Nrrpt).

  • Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Radiation Safety In Healthcare Facilities.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Supervise Radiation Safety Staff And Effectively Collaborate With Other Departments Within The Organization.
