Develop and implement radiation safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices
Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify and address any potential safety hazards
Monitor and maintain records of radiation levels and exposure for all staff and patients
Collaborate with other departments and teams to promote a culture of safety and implement safety initiatives
Provide training and education to staff on radiation safety protocols and procedures
Stay up-to-date on all relevant regulations and guidelines related to radiation safety and ensure compliance within the organization
Investigate and report any incidents or violations related to radiation safety
Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and authorities to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Manage and maintain all necessary equipment and resources for radiation safety, including proper calibration and maintenance
Serve as a leader and mentor to junior members of the radiation safety team, providing guidance and support as needed.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Health Physics, Radiation Safety, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Radiation Safety, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Certification In Health Physics Or Radiation Safety From A Recognized Organization (E.g. American Board Of Health Physics, National Registry Of Radiation Protection Technologists).
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Radiation Safety, Including Nrc, Epa, And Osha Guidelines.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Supervise Radiation Safety Staff And Effectively Communicate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
