Pharmacy Technician

- Process and dispense medication orders from physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions and prepare medication for dispensing.
- Maintain inventory and stock medications in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications.
- Assist with medication therapy management and patient education.
- Maintain patient records and accurately enter data into pharmacy software.
- Follow all safety and quality assurance protocols to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
- Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to address medication-related questions and concerns.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
- Contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the pharmacy by completing tasks and projects as assigned.
- Continuously update knowledge of medications, pharmacy practices, and healthcare regulations.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Pharmacy Technician Job At Tenet Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: Tenet Healthcare May Require Candidates To Have A Pharmacy Technician Certification (Cpht) From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Dispensing Medication, Inventory Management, And Record-Keeping.
