Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations and contribute to the overall success of our organization.   1. Process and dispense medication orders from physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  2. Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions and prepare medication for dispensing.
  3. Maintain inventory and stock medications in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  4. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications.
  5. Assist with medication therapy management and patient education.
  6. Maintain patient records and accurately enter data into pharmacy software.
  7. Follow all safety and quality assurance protocols to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
  8. Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to address medication-related questions and concerns.
  9. Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
  10. Contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the pharmacy by completing tasks and projects as assigned.
  11. Continuously update knowledge of medications, pharmacy practices, and healthcare regulations.
  12. Ensure proper storage and handling of medications in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  13. Assist in training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Pharmacy Technician Job At Tenet Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification: Tenet Healthcare May Require Candidates To Have A Pharmacy Technician Certification (Cpht) From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
