  1. Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive first impression of the organization.
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have and providing helpful and accurate information.
  3. Schedule appointments, including coordinating with physicians and other healthcare providers, and ensuring the accuracy of patient information and insurance coverage.
  4. Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness for billing and record-keeping purposes.
  5. Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records with necessary information, following HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
  6. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documents, such as consent forms, insurance forms, and medical history questionnaires.
  7. Communicate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment.
  8. Process payments from patients, including copays, deductibles, and self-pay balances, and provide patients with financial counseling if needed.
  9. Coordinate with other departments and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely delivery of services.
  10. Handle patient complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner, escalating as needed to resolve any concerns.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including patient waiting areas and front desk.
  12. Keep up-to-date with insurance regulations and policies, as well as changes in patient care procedures, to provide accurate information to patients.
  13. Participate in team meetings and trainings to continuously improve patient service and satisfaction.
  14. Adhere to all facility and departmental policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
