- Develop and implement strategies to promote patient safety throughout the organization.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential safety hazards and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Educate and train staff on best practices for ensuring patient safety.
- Investigate and report any incidents or near-misses related to patient safety.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and best practices related to patient safety.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and experts to stay informed on emerging safety issues.
- Act as a resource and support for patients and their families regarding safety concerns.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to patient safety initiatives and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects to enhance patient safety.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address any safety concerns or complaints.
- Stay updated on advancements in technology and tools to improve patient safety.
- Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of patient safety measures and make recommendations for improvement.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.
Previous Experience In A Patient Safety Role, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of And Experience With Relevant Patient Safety Regulations And Best Practices.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Various Healthcare Professionals And Departments.
Certification In Patient Safety, Such As Certified Professional In Patient Safety (Cpps) Or Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (Chsp), Is Preferred.
