Job Description

We are currently seeking a Patient Care Technician for our Telemetry department who will play a vital role in the overall well-being of our patients.   1. Provide compassionate and dedicated patient care in the Telemetry department.
  2. Monitor and report patient vital signs, changes in condition, and any signs of distress to the nursing staff.
  3. Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and observations.
  6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures.
  7. Assist with patient transfers and positioning to ensure comfort and prevent injury.
  8. Set up and operate medical equipment and assist with procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
  9. Attend to patient needs promptly and provide emotional support and comfort when needed.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve patient care skills.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  12. Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic, and adhere to the Tenet Healthcare mission, vision, and values.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  14. Serve as a patient advocate and ensure that patient rights are respected.
  15. Assist with maintaining a clean and organized patient care environment.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by nursing staff or healthcare providers.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.

  • Completion Of A Certified Patient Care Technician Program Or Equivalent Training In Healthcare Field.

  • Previous Experience Working In A Telemetry Unit Or Other Acute Care Setting.

  • Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information.
