Tenet Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our team and assist in delivering exceptional care to our patients in the telemetry unit. In this role, you will work closely with our healthcare team to monitor and assist patients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.   1. Monitor and assist patients in the telemetry unit to ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
  2. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients.
  3. Utilize your experience in telemetry to accurately monitor and report changes in patient conditions.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  5. Provide basic patient care, including but not limited to assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, and performing EKGs.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on patient progress and address any concerns.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
  8. Assist with the transportation of patients to and from various areas of the hospital as needed.
  9. Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Attend and actively participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain and improve upon current skills and knowledge.
  11. Display a positive attitude and exemplary customer service skills while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Respond to emergency situations quickly and appropriately, following established protocols.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  14. Maintain a professional and ethical attitude while promoting the mission, vision, and values of the hospital.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Knowledge Of Basic Medical Terminology And Procedures

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Equivalent Certification

  • Minimum Of One Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Telemetry Unit

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members
