
Patient Care Technician - Telemetry

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Education Is Required For This Position, With Preference Given To Candidates Who Have Completed Relevant Coursework In Healthcare Or A Related Field.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Many Positions At Tenet Healthcare Require Candidates To Hold A Valid Cna Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Patient Care And Medical Terminology.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Patient Care Technician Working In A Telemetry Unit, It Is Important To Be Trained In Basic Life Support Techniques, Such As Cpr And Aed Usage. Bls Certification Is Typically Required For This Position.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates With Prior Experience Working In A Hospital Or Other Healthcare Facility Will Be Preferred For This Position. This Experience Will Demonstrate A Candidate's Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Patient Care Procedures, And Hipaa Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Patient Care Technicians Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
