Provide direct patient care: The Patient Care Technician will be responsible for providing hands-on care to patients in the telemetry unit. This includes assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed by the healthcare team.
Monitor and analyze heart rates and rhythms: The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Technician will be to monitor and analyze patients' heart rates and rhythms using specialized equipment. Job Qualifications

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Education Is Required For This Position, With Preference Given To Candidates Who Have Completed Relevant Coursework In Healthcare Or A Related Field.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Many Positions At Tenet Healthcare Require Candidates To Hold A Valid Cna Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Patient Care And Medical Terminology.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Patient Care Technician Working In A Telemetry Unit, It Is Important To Be Trained In Basic Life Support Techniques, Such As Cpr And Aed Usage. Bls Certification Is Typically Required For This Position.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates With Prior Experience Working In A Hospital Or Other Healthcare Facility Will Be Preferred For This Position. This Experience Will Demonstrate A Candidate's Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Patient Care Procedures, And Hipaa Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Patient Care Technicians Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Also Have The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment And Remain Calm In High-Stress Situations.
