Provide compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Assist nurses and other medical professionals in providing high-quality care to patients.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, and feeding patients.
Respond to patient calls and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking blood pressure and administering medication under the supervision of a nurse.
Maintain a professional and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
Attend training sessions and continue to develop skills and knowledge in the healthcare field.
Assist with the transportation of patients to and from procedures or other areas of the hospital.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Patient Care Technician At Tenet Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Provides A Foundation Of Basic Knowledge And Skills Necessary For The Role.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: A Valid Cna Certification Is Often Required For A Patient Care Technician Position At Tenet Healthcare. This Certification Demonstrates A Level Of Competency In Providing Basic Nursing Care To Patients.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Nursing Home, Is Highly Preferred For A Patient Care Technician At Tenet Healthcare. This Experience Provides A Strong Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry And The Skills Needed For The Job.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Patient Care Technician, It Is Essential To Have A Bls Certification To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Basic Life Support To Patients. This Certification Is Often Required By Tenet Healthcare For This Position.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Patient Care Technicians At Tenet Healthcare Must Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Clearly And Compassionately With Patients And Follow Instructions From Medical Staff.
