Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Room.
Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
Monitor and document patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team.
Assist with procedures and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain aseptic techniques.
Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Document patient information accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
Support and promote a positive work environment within the Emergency Room team.
Foster a culture of patient-centered care and continuously strive to exceed patient expectations.
Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Care Technician Position At Tenet Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Academic Concepts And Can Communicate Effectively.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Tenet Healthcare Requires All Patient Care Technicians To Hold An Active Cna Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Has The Necessary Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As An Emergency Room Patient Care Technician, The Candidate Must Have A Current Bls Certification. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Is Trained In Basic Life-Saving Techniques Such As Cpr And Can Respond To Emergencies Effectively.
Prior Experience In An Emergency Room Setting: Tenet Healthcare Prefers Candidates With Prior Experience Working In An Emergency Room Setting. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Patient Care Technician In The Emergency Room. The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.
