  1. Provide compassionate care to patients: The Patient Care Associate will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  2. Support healthcare team: The Patient Care Associate will work closely with the healthcare team, including nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals, to support and assist in providing quality care to patients.
  3. Maintain patient records: It will be the responsibility of the Patient Care Associate to accurately and timely document patient information and maintain patient records.
  4. Communicate effectively: The Patient Care Associate must possess strong communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  5. Assist with basic medical procedures: The Patient Care Associate will be trained to assist with basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications under the direction of a healthcare professional.
  6. Ensure patient comfort and safety: The Patient Care Associate will be responsible for ensuring patient comfort and safety by providing assistance with mobility, hygiene, and other daily activities.
  7. Monitor patient progress: The Patient Care Associate will monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team and assist in implementing appropriate interventions.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization: It is the responsibility of the Patient Care Associate to maintain a clean and organized patient care environment, including stocking supplies and equipment.
  9. Adhere to safety protocols: The Patient Care Associate must follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, themselves, and the healthcare team.
  10. Continuously seek ways to improve patient care: The Patient Care Associate should actively seek opportunities to improve patient care and provide suggestions to the healthcare team for enhancing the patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Patient Care Associate At Tenet Healthcare Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged To Ensure They Have A Basic Understanding Of Healthcare And Communication Skills.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Tenet Healthcare Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed A Nursing Assistant Training Program And Hold A Valid Cna Certification. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Direct Patient Care.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Tenet Healthcare Requires All Patient Care Associates To Have A Current Bls Certification. This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle Emergency Situations And Perform Basic Life-Saving Techniques.

  • Previous Healthcare Experience: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting Is Preferred For Patient Care Associate Positions At Tenet Healthcare. This Experience Can Include Working As A Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Or In A Similar Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Patient Care Associate Must Have Strong Communication Skills And Be Able To Interact Effectively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Providers. They Should Also Possess Empathy, Compassion, And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
