- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the patient access department, including scheduling, training, and performance management of staff.
- Ensure that patient registration and check-in processes are efficient and in compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain patient flow and wait times to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Handle escalated patient inquiries or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall patient experience.
- Maintain knowledge of insurance and billing procedures to assist patients with any questions or concerns.
- Monitor and analyze department performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement.
- Train and educate staff on updated policies, procedures, and technology.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for new staff members.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline processes to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Collaborate with other departments and leadership to implement new initiatives and programs.
- Act as a liaison between patient access and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports related to department operations.
- Handle any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the management team.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Healthcare Organization.
Extensive Knowledge Of Insurance Verification, Registration, And Billing Processes.
Proficient In Electronic Medical Records And Healthcare Billing Systems.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Effective Team Management And Collaboration With Other Departments.
