- Oversee and manage the patient access team, ensuring that all team members are trained and equipped to provide exceptional service to patients.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient access processes and procedures, with a focus on enhancing the patient experience.
- Monitor and analyze patient access data to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary changes to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the organization to ensure a smooth and coordinated patient experience across all touchpoints.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and training to team members to promote professional growth and development.
- Ensure that all patient access staff adhere to established policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manage and maintain relationships with insurance companies, ensuring accurate verification and authorization of insurance coverage for patients.
- Resolve patient complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring patient satisfaction.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in patient access, and implement new strategies and technologies to improve processes and enhance the patient experience.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the patient access team, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Patient Access Or Revenue Cycle Management Within A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Billing And Insurance Processes, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And Commercial Insurance.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team.
Proficient In Healthcare Software Systems, Such As Epic Or Cerner, And Experience With Electronic Health Records.
