- Monitor heart rhythm patterns and alert medical staff of any abnormalities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' heart rhythms.
- Operate and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment.
- Recognize and promptly report any changes or irregularities in patients' heart rhythms.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of cardiac events and interventions.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Monitor Technician At Tenet Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Cardiovascular Monitoring Certification: Candidates Should Hold A Certification In Cardiovascular Monitoring, Such As Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (Crat).
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Procedures.
Knowledge Of Ekg Interpretation: Monitor Technicians Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Electrocardiogram (Ekg) Interpretation And Be Able To Identify Abnormal Heart Rhythms.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: This Role Requires Communication With Patients, Nurses, And Physicians, So Candidates Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills. Additionally, Strong Organizational Skills Are Necessary To Maintain Accurate Records And Monitor Multiple Patients Simultaneously.
