  1. Monitor heart rhythm patterns and alert medical staff of any abnormalities.
  2. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' heart rhythms.
  3. Operate and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment.
  4. Recognize and promptly report any changes or irregularities in patients' heart rhythms.
  5. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of cardiac events and interventions.
  6. Collaborate with medical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies and protocols related to cardiac monitoring.
  8. Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in cardiac monitoring technology.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  10. Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  11. Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by the healthcare team.
  12. Provide support and assistance to patients and their families as needed.
  13. Communicate effectively with colleagues and medical staff regarding patients' cardiac status.
  14. Attend required trainings and educational programs to maintain and enhance skills.
  15. Prioritize and manage workload effectively to ensure timely and accurate monitoring of patients.
  16. Keep work area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Monitor Technician At Tenet Healthcare Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Cardiovascular Monitoring Certification: Candidates Should Hold A Certification In Cardiovascular Monitoring, Such As Certified Cardiographic Technician (Cct) Or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (Crat).

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Ekg Interpretation: Monitor Technicians Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Electrocardiogram (Ekg) Interpretation And Be Able To Identify Abnormal Heart Rhythms.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: This Role Requires Communication With Patients, Nurses, And Physicians, So Candidates Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills. Additionally, Strong Organizational Skills Are Necessary To Maintain Accurate Records And Monitor Multiple Patients Simultaneously.
