
Medical Technologist - Molecular Micro Lab

- Maintain equipment: Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, troubleshoot any issues that may arise, and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Microbiology, Or Molecular Biology Is Typically Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In The Scientific Principles And Laboratory Techniques Necessary For A Molecular Micro Lab.
Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt): Most Employers Prefer Candidates Who Have Obtained Certification As A Medical Technologist From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt). This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Knowledge And Proficiency In The Field Of Medical Technology.
Experience In Molecular Microbiology: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Molecular Microbiology Laboratory, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting. This Experience Should Include Performing Various Molecular Tests, Such As Pcr, Dna Sequencing, And Genetic Analysis, And Interpreting The Results Accurately.
Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety And Quality Control: Medical Technologists Working In A Molecular Micro Lab Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Quality Control Measures. They Should Be Able To Follow Established Procedures And Maintain A High Level Of Accuracy And Precision While Handling Sensitive Samples.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As Part Of A Larger Healthcare Team, Medical Technologists Must Have Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals, Such As Physicians And Nurses, And Communicate Test Results In A Clear And Concise Manner.
