- Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to analyze and interpret test results.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Adhere to strict quality control and quality assurance protocols to ensure the integrity of test results.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for both staff and patients.
- Record and maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all test results and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss and interpret test results and provide recommendations for patient care.
- Stay current with advancements and updates in medical technology and procedures to continuously improve and enhance laboratory services.
- Train and supervise laboratory assistants and other staff members to ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to protocols.
- Uphold the values and mission of Tenet Healthcare by providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive working environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field Is Required For The Position Of Medical Technologist At Tenet Healthcare.
Certification As A Medical Technologist: Candidates Must Hold Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) From A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).
Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures, Including Testing And Maintenance Of Equipment, As Well As Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Quality Control Measures.
Experience Working In A Hospital Or Clinical Laboratory Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Hospital Or Clinical Laboratory Is Highly Preferred For This Role. This Includes Experience With A Variety Of Laboratory Techniques, Procedures, And Equipment.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Medical Technologists At Tenet Healthcare Must Possess Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Healthcare Providers, Patients, And Other Laboratory Staff. They Should Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment, Collaborating With Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide Quality Patient Care.
