Accurately organize and maintain patient medical records in a timely manner.
Review and analyze medical records for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure that all medical records are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information and records.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain and update patient information as needed.
Utilize electronic health record systems to input and retrieve patient information.
Review and verify insurance and billing information for accuracy.
Prepare and process medical records for release to authorized parties.
Assist in the implementation of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of record keeping.
Stay up-to-date on industry changes and advancements in medical record management.
Train new employees on medical record protocols and procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies with medical records.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure the safety and confidentiality of patient records.
Adhere to all privacy and security protocols to protect patient information.
Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care for patients.

Job Qualifications

Associate's Degree In Health Information Technology Or Related Field
Certified As A Registered Health Information Technician (Rhit) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs)
At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working With Electronic Health Records (Ehr) Systems
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Coding Systems (Icd-10, Cpt), And Hipaa Regulations
Strong Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Prioritize Multiple Tasks Effectively
