Ensure compliance with regulatory standards: The Medical Records Technician will be responsible for maintaining and organizing medical records in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards, such as HIPAA and state laws.
Organize and maintain medical records: The Technician will be responsible for accurately filing and organizing medical records, including physical charts and electronic health records. This includes creating new records, updating existing records, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all patient information.
Follow company policies: The Technician will follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling and maintenance of medical records. This includes adhering to proper record retention policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records: The Technician will ensure that all medical records are kept current and accurate, including patient demographic information, medical history, test results, and other relevant information.
Understand medical terminology: The Medical Records Technician must have a strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately maintain and organize medical records.
Experience with electronic health records: The ideal candidate will have experience working with electronic health records and be comfortable navigating and inputting information into various electronic systems.
