As a Manager of Patient Services, you will play a critical role in leading and supporting our dedicated team of healthcare professionals.   1. Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals in the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and quality of care in the Emergency Department.
  3. Monitor and maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  4. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless coordination and communication among all departments.
  5. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for staff.
  6. Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  7. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address any concerns or issues.
  8. Implement and maintain protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow in the Emergency Department.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in emergency care, and make recommendations for improvement and implementation.
  10. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for all staff, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  11. Serve as a role model for exceptional patient care and customer service, leading by example.
  12. Assist in budget planning and management for the Emergency Department, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  13. Collaborate with the HR department in recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members.
  14. Handle any escalated patient or personnel issues in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Emergency Department.

  • Clinical Experience: A Manager - Patient Services Emergency Should Have A Strong Clinical Background, With Experience In Emergency Care And Patient Services. This Will Allow Them To Understand The Needs Of Both Patients And Staff, And Make Informed Decisions In Emergency Situations.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For A Manager - Patient Services Emergency, As They Will Be Responsible For Relaying Important Information To Both Patients And Staff. They Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally In Both Written And Verbal Forms.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Emergency Situations Can Be Unpredictable And Require Quick Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills. A Manager - Patient Services Emergency Should Be Able To Remain Calm Under Pressure And Make Sound Decisions To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients And Staff.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations: Managers In This Role Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance Standards. This Includes Knowledge Of Emergency Procedures, Patient Rights, And Privacy Laws. They Should Also Stay Up-To-Date On Any Changes In Regulations To Ensure The Facility Is In Compliance.
