Perform mammography exams on patients according to established protocols and safety standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, including patient history and any reactions or complications.
Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
Monitor and assess patient comfort and needs during procedures, providing support and reassurance as needed.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of mammography images.
Follow all infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
Educate patients on the importance of regular mammography screenings and promote breast health awareness.
Continuously update knowledge and skills through continuing education and training opportunities.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and compassionate patient care.
Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by actively participating in team meetings and activities.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Comply with all relevant state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering necessary supplies for the mammography department.
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Job Qualifications

Certified Radiology Technologist (Rt) - The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Certification As A Radiology Technologist From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Perform Mammography Exams.
Mammography Experience - The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Specifically In Mammography. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Equipment And Techniques Used In Mammography.
State Licensure - The Candidate Must Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Radiology Technologist. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Requirements And Standards Set By The State To Perform Medical Imaging Procedures.
Knowledge Of Breast Anatomy And Pathology - The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Breast Anatomy And Common Pathologies. This Knowledge Is Essential For Identifying Abnormalities And Providing Accurate Diagnoses.
Attention To Detail - The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate And High-Quality Mammography Exams. This Includes Proper Positioning Of Patients, Adjusting Equipment Settings, And Carefully Reviewing Images For Any Abnormalities.
