
Infection Preventionist

As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a crucial role in preventing the spread of infections and diseases within our healthcare facilities. - Monitor and assess infection control practices and protocols within the healthcare facility.
- Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular infection control audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide education and training on infection control measures.
- Investigate and report any potential outbreaks or infections to appropriate authorities.
- Keep up-to-date with current infection control guidelines and best practices.
- Develop and maintain infection control data and reports for internal and external use.
- Analyze infection data to identify trends and implement preventative measures.
- Conduct surveillance for healthcare-associated infections and report findings to leadership.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and departments to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to infection control.
- Serve as a resource and advisor to healthcare staff on infection control practices.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and isolation protocols.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and state health departments.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response planning related to infection control.
- Promote a culture of safety and infection prevention throughout the healthcare facility.
A Minimum Of Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Microbiology, Or Related Field.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Infection Prevention And Control, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Certification In Infection Control (Cic) From The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).
Knowledge Of Current Infection Prevention Guidelines, Regulations, And Best Practices, Including Those From The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (Cdc) And World Health Organization (Who).
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Infection Risks And Implement Effective Prevention Strategies.
