
Endoscopy Technician

- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by preparing and maintaining equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and providing support as needed.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of endoscopic procedures, equipment, and techniques to provide optimal care to patients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of infections.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and communicate any changes in patient condition to the physician.
- Document all procedures and patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and troubleshoot endoscopic equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions or need for repairs.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on the latest endoscopy techniques and technology.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have regarding the procedure.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience As An Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Ambulatory Surgery Center Setting.
Certification As A Gi Technician (Cgt) Or Gi Technical Specialist (Cgts) Through The Society Of Gastroenterology Nurses And Associates (Sgna).
Strong Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment, Procedures, And Infection Control Protocols.
Ability To Multitask And Prioritize In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Maintaining Attention To Detail.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively As Part Of A Team And Provide Exceptional Patient Care.
