Job Description

In this role, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely EKG readings for our patients.   1. Conducting EKG tests: Perform EKGs on patients according to established protocols and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  2. Maintaining equipment: Properly maintain and calibrate EKG equipment to ensure accurate readings and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
  3. Recording and analyzing results: Record and analyze EKG results and report any abnormalities or concerns to medical staff.
  4. Ensuring patient safety: Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of both the patient and yourself during EKG procedures.
  5. Maintaining documentation: Accurately document patient information, EKG results, and any other pertinent information in electronic medical records.
  6. Collaborating with medical staff: Communicate effectively with physicians and other medical staff to ensure proper interpretation and utilization of EKG results for patient care.
  7. Providing exceptional patient care: Interact with patients in a compassionate and professional manner, addressing any concerns or questions they may have and providing emotional support as needed.
  8. Maintaining confidentiality: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  9. Staying informed: Stay up-to-date on current trends and technology related to EKG testing and procedures to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  10. Assisting with other duties: Assist with other administrative tasks and duties as needed within the EKG department to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Ekg Technician: The Candidate Must Have A Current Certification As An Ekg Technician From An Accredited Institution.

  • Prior Experience: Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working As An Ekg Technician In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Ekg Procedures: Strong Understanding Of Ekg Procedures, Including The Ability To Identify Abnormalities And Troubleshoot Equipment.

  • Proficient In Medical Terminology: Familiarity With Medical Terminology Related To Ekg Procedures And The Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information.

  • Flexibility And Availability: Ability To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Weekends And Holidays, To Meet The Fluctuating Demands Of The Healthcare Facility.
