- Facilitate effective communication between the emergency department team and other departments within the hospital.
- Ensure timely and accurate transmission of information to relevant parties.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of hospital protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth operations.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls, messages, and other forms of communication.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive information.
- Monitor and respond to emergency alerts and alarms.
- Document all communication and interactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Remain up-to-date on hospital policies and procedures, as well as industry best practices.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance communication skills.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with patient and family inquiries and concerns.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on departmental processes.
- Proactively identify and address communication issues to ensure efficient operations.

Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Healthcare Communications, Preferably In An Emergency Department Setting.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Convey Complex Medical Information To A Variety Of Audiences.
Knowledge Of Hipaa Regulations And Patient Privacy Laws.
Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment.
