  1. Facilitate effective communication between the emergency department team and other departments within the hospital.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate transmission of information to relevant parties.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of hospital protocols and procedures.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth operations.
  5. Handle incoming and outgoing calls, messages, and other forms of communication.
  6. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive information.
  7. Monitor and respond to emergency alerts and alarms.
  8. Document all communication and interactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  9. Remain up-to-date on hospital policies and procedures, as well as industry best practices.
  10. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance communication skills.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Assist with patient and family inquiries and concerns.
  13. Participate in team meetings and provide input on departmental processes.
  14. Proactively identify and address communication issues to ensure efficient operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Healthcare Communications, Preferably In An Emergency Department Setting.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Convey Complex Medical Information To A Variety Of Audiences.

  • Knowledge Of Hipaa Regulations And Patient Privacy Laws.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment.
