Job Description

As an Echo Technician in our Cardiology department at Tenet Healthcare, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with heart conditions. Your expertise in performing echocardiograms will assist our team of cardiologists in providing top-notch care to our patients.   1. Conduct and interpret echocardiograms for patients in the Cardiology department.
  2. Collaborate with cardiologists to determine appropriate testing and treatment plans for patients.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of echocardiogram results.
  4. Maintain and operate echocardiogram equipment, ensuring it is properly calibrated and functioning.
  5. Educate patients on the echocardiogram process and answer any questions they may have.
  6. Assist in scheduling and coordinating appointments for patients.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements in echocardiogram technology and techniques.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental processes.
  11. Support the overall mission and goals of Tenet Healthcare through your work in the Cardiology department.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  13. Attend department meetings and training sessions as required.
  14. Uphold professional and ethical standards at all times.
  15. Continuously strive to improve and enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of echocardiography.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.

  • Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As An Echo Technician In A Cardiology Setting.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining State-Of-The-Art Echocardiography Equipment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology, As Well As Ability To Accurately Interpret And Report Echocardiogram Findings.
