Perform echocardiogram procedures on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
Utilize ultrasound equipment and other diagnostic tools to accurately capture and interpret images of the heart.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to gather patient information and provide accurate and timely results.
Monitor and ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures.
Maintain accurate and organized records of patient information, test results, and other relevant data.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or questions.
Stay current on advancements and changes in the field of echocardiography and implement best practices into daily work.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with equipment, escalate any concerns to appropriate personnel.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with maintaining accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
Continuously demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and provide support when needed.
Attend and participate in team meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
Adhere to the organization's mission, vision, and values in all aspects of work.

Job Qualifications

Completion Of An Accredited Training Program: A Qualified Echo Technician At Tenet Healthcare Must Have Completed An Accredited Training Program In Echocardiography, Typically Through A Community College Or Technical School.
Certification In Cardiac Sonography: Candidates Should Possess Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Experience In Performing Echocardiograms: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Performing Echocardiograms Is Typically Required For This Position. Experience With Advanced Imaging Techniques Such As 3D Echo And Strain Imaging Is Also Preferred.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology: Echo Technicians Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology To Accurately Recognize And Interpret Abnormalities In The Images Obtained During The Test.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As Echo Technicians Work Directly With Patients, They Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Explain The Procedure And Make Patients Feel At Ease. They Must Also Be Able To Collaborate Effectively With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.
