
Echo Technician

- Perform diagnostic echocardiogram procedures on patients using advanced ultrasound equipment.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures in a safe and comfortable manner.
- Obtain patient history and explain procedures to patients to ensure their understanding and comfort.
- Work closely with physicians to assist in the interpretation and reporting of results.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all images and reports, making note of any abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to management.
- Keep accurate records and documentation of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on new technology and techniques in echocardiography, and implement them as appropriate.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for patients and their families.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Echo Technician In A Hospital Setting.
Proficiency In Performing A Variety Of Echocardiography Procedures, Including 2D, M-Mode, And Doppler Imaging.
Strong Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology, As Well As Familiarity With Various Cardiac Diseases And Treatments.
