- Perform CT scans using advanced equipment: The CT Scan Technologist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CT equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality diagnostic images are produced.
- Follow safety protocols: The technologist will adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients and themselves from potential harm during the scanning process.
- Prepare patients for procedures: The technologist will ensure that patients are properly prepared for the CT scan, including explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and addressing concerns.
- Position patients correctly: The technologist will properly position patients to obtain the best possible images, considering factors such as patient comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients during scans: The technologist will closely monitor patients during scans to ensure their safety and comfort, and make necessary adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records: The technologist will maintain accurate records of each procedure, including patient information, procedure details, and any complications or concerns.
- Communicate with medical staff: The technologist will work closely with the medical team to coordinate and provide necessary information for patient care, including consulting with radiologists to review and interpret images.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly: The technologist will perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Uphold patient confidentiality: The technologist will uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times, following HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge: The technologist will stay updated on new technologies and techniques in CT scanning and participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve their skills and knowledge.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field
Current Certification As A Ct Scan Technologist From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Ct Scans In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting
Knowledge Of Radiology Equipment And Procedures, Including The Ability To Operate And Troubleshoot Equipment
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
