- Conduct CT scans on patients in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing state-of-the-art technology.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort during scans.
- Maintain a high level of technical proficiency and knowledge of imaging equipment and techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure proper patient positioning and preparation for scans.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and take appropriate action as needed.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all scans and patient information.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure high-quality imaging.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on advancements in CT scanning technology and techniques.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or healthcare team leaders.
Education: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or A Related Field Is Required For A Ct Scan Technician Position At Tenet Healthcare. This Education Should Be From An Accredited Institution And Should Include Coursework In Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology.
Certification: All Ct Scan Technicians At Tenet Healthcare Must Be Certified By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Competency In Performing Ct Scans And Ensures That The Technician Is Up-To-Date With The Latest Technology And Techniques.
Experience: While Experience Requirements May Vary Depending On The Specific Position, Most Ct Scan Technician Jobs At Tenet Healthcare Require A Minimum Of One Year Of Experience In A Similar Role. This Experience Should Include Performing Ct Scans, Operating Ct Equipment, And Working In A Healthcare Setting.
