  1. Review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accurate and complete documentation of all clinical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments.
  2. Utilize knowledge of healthcare coding regulations and guidelines to ensure proper code assignment for all services provided.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify and obtain missing or inconsistent information in medical records.
  4. Conduct thorough and timely documentation audits to identify areas for improvement and provide education to healthcare providers.
  5. Stay current on industry changes and updates related to clinical documentation and coding, and communicate any relevant changes to the healthcare team.
  6. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
  7. Monitor and report on documentation trends and patterns to support quality improvement initiatives.
  8. Work closely with coding and billing teams to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services rendered.
  9. Provide education and training to healthcare providers on documentation best practices and coding guidelines.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Clinical Documentation Improvement (Cdi) Or Medical Coding.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Icd-10-Cm And Drg Coding Systems.

  • Experience With Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems And Ability To Navigate And Extract Data From Various Systems.

  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (Ccds) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification Preferred.
