- Collaborate with food service staff to ensure patients receive appropriate meals and snacks based on their dietary needs.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain all necessary certifications and licenses required for the role.
- Adhere to all healthcare and dietary regulations and guidelines.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon the nutrition program at Tenet Healthcare.
- Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals and provide guidance on nutrition-related matters.
- Act as an advocate for patients, promoting the importance of proper nutrition in their overall health and well-being.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics: A Clinical Dietitian At Tenet Healthcare Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills In Nutrition, Food Sciences, And Healthcare To Effectively Carry Out The Duties Of A Clinical Dietitian.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Certification: Tenet Healthcare Requires All Clinical Dietitians To Have A Current And Valid Rdn Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Education And Experience Requirements To Practice As A Dietitian And Has Passed A National Exam.
State Licensure: In Addition To The Rdn Certification, Tenet Healthcare Also Requires Clinical Dietitians To Hold A Current State License To Practice As A Dietitian. This License Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State-Specific Requirements For Practicing As A Dietitian And Is Qualified To Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Clinical Experience: Tenet Healthcare Prefers Candidates With At Least 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Dietitian.
