Provide exceptional care to patients and their families in the Labor and Delivery unit.
Assist with surgical procedures in a busy and fast-paced environment.
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures.
Utilize expertise and attention to detail to assist the surgical team in providing high-quality care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment.
Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
Keep accurate records and documentation of surgical procedures.
Continuously update and expand knowledge and skills in surgical techniques.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as colleagues and physicians.
Follow all hospital and department policies and procedures.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during surgical procedures.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide education and support to patients before and after surgery.

Job Qualifications

Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technologist Program: A Certified Surgical Technician - Labor And Delivery At Tenet Healthcare Must Have Completed An Accredited Program In Surgical Technology, Which Includes Coursework And Clinical Experience In Labor And Delivery Procedures.
Certification As A Surgical Technologist: Candidates Must Hold A Current Certification As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa). This Ensures That The Technician Has Met National Standards For Competency And Knowledge In The Field.
Experience In Labor And Delivery: Tenet Healthcare Requires Candidates To Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technician In A Labor And Delivery Setting. This Ensures That The Technician Is Familiar With The Specific Procedures And Equipment Used In This Specialized Area.
Knowledge Of Sterilization And Infection Control Protocols: The Safety Of Patients And Staff Is Of Utmost Importance In A Surgical Setting. A Certified Surgical Technician - Labor And Delivery At Tenet Healthcare Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Sterilization Techniques And Infection Control Protocols To Prevent The Spread Of Infections.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Working In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment Like Labor And Delivery Requires Effective Communication And Teamwork.
