Assist surgeons during labor and delivery procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room at all times.
Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies before and after procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
Monitor and record patient vital signs and alert the medical team of any changes or concerns.
Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during labor and delivery procedures.
Handle specimens and samples as directed by the surgeon.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of procedures performed.
Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest techniques and procedures.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Ensure equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and maintained.
Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by the surgical team or management.

Job Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Surgical Technician, Preferably In A Labor And Delivery Setting
Knowledge Of Obstetrical Procedures And Instrumentation Used In Labor And Delivery Surgeries
Familiarity With Sterilization Techniques And Infection Control Protocols
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
