  1. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing and sterilizing surgical equipment and supplies.
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by monitoring vital signs and responding to any changes or concerns during surgery.
  3. Maintain a sterile and organized operating room environment.
  4. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other operating room staff during procedures.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures and equipment.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  8. Keep accurate records and documentation of procedures and supplies used.
  9. Continuously monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
  10. Assist with patient transport and positioning before and after surgery.
  11. Participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain and enhance skills.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with compassionate care and support.
  14. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of the job.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program: Candidates Must Have Completed An Accredited Program In Surgical Technology And Have A Diploma Or Associate Degree.

  • Certification As A Surgical Technician: Candidates Must Hold A Current Certification As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technician In A Hospital Or Surgical Center.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Procedures: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Instruments, Equipment, And Procedures, As Well As Knowledge Of Anatomy And Medical Terminology.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Candidates Must Have Excellent Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well In A Team And Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
