- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing and sterilizing surgical equipment and supplies.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by monitoring vital signs and responding to any changes or concerns during surgery.
- Maintain a sterile and organized operating room environment.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other operating room staff during procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures and equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Keep accurate records and documentation of procedures and supplies used.
- Continuously monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Assist with patient transport and positioning before and after surgery.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to maintain and enhance skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with compassionate care and support.

Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program: Candidates Must Have Completed An Accredited Program In Surgical Technology And Have A Diploma Or Associate Degree.
Certification As A Surgical Technician: Candidates Must Hold A Current Certification As A Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technician In A Hospital Or Surgical Center.
Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Procedures: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Instruments, Equipment, And Procedures, As Well As Knowledge Of Anatomy And Medical Terminology.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Candidates Must Have Excellent Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well In A Team And Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
