  1. Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, including imaging, monitoring, and interpretation of results.
  2. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
  3. Maintain and operate complex medical equipment, including imaging machines and monitoring systems.
  4. Prepare and assist physicians in procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and supplies are readily available.
  5. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during procedures.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, including patient information and test results.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
  9. Stay current with advancements in cardiac care technology and procedures.
  10. Provide excellent patient care and customer service, exhibiting compassion, empathy, and professionalism at all times.
  11. Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment maintenance and calibration.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care and outcomes.
  13. Train and mentor new cath lab technologists and students as needed.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  15. Continuously strive for personal and professional development through ongoing education and training opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field Is Required, As Well As Certification As A Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Rcis) Or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (Rcvt).

  • Experience: At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiac Catheterization Lab Is Preferred, With A Strong Understanding Of Cardiac Procedures And Equipment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting A Wide Range Of Cath Lab Equipment, Including Imaging Systems, Hemodynamic Monitoring Devices, And Interventional Tools.

  • Teamwork And Communication: The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment And Communicate Clearly With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential.

  • Attention To Detail: A Strong Attention To Detail Is Necessary To Accurately Record And Interpret Data From Cardiac Procedures, As Well As Ensure Patient Safety And Quality Control In The Cath Lab.
