Conduct cardiovascular diagnostic procedures: Perform a variety of diagnostic tests including electrocardiograms, stress tests, echocardiograms, and other procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.
Assist in treatment procedures: Support healthcare providers in interventional and surgical procedures such as angioplasty, pacemaker placement, and cardiac catheterization.
Monitor patient progress: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and assist in interpreting test results to provide accurate information to healthcare providers for timely decision-making.
Maintain equipment and supplies: Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained, calibrated, and stocked to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
Educate patients: Provide clear and concise instructions to patients on procedures, answer any questions, and address their concerns to alleviate their anxiety and improve their overall experience.
Ensure patient safety and comfort: Adhere to safety protocols and provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients during procedures.
Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and timely communication of critical information.
Document and maintain records: Accurately document patient information, test results, and other relevant data in electronic medical records to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements: Continuously update knowledge and skills through attending seminars, workshops, and other educational opportunities to stay current with the latest advancements in cardiovascular technology.

Job Qualifications

Certification In Cardiovascular Technology: Candidates Should Have A Valid Certification In Cardiovascular Technology From An Accredited Institution. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Duties Of A Cardiovascular Technician.
Experience In Cardiac Catheterization: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cardiac Catheterization Procedures. This Includes Experience In Setting Up And Monitoring Equipment, Assisting Physicians During Procedures, And Recording Patient Data Accurately.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology: A Thorough Understanding Of The Cardiovascular System, Including Anatomy And Physiology, Is Essential For A Cardiovascular Technician. This Knowledge Helps In Interpreting Test Results And Identifying Abnormalities In Cardiac Function.
Ability To Operate Diagnostic Equipment: Cardiovascular Technicians Should Have Experience In Operating And Maintaining Diagnostic Equipment Such As Echocardiogram Machines, Electrocardiogram Machines, And Stress Test Equipment. Proficiency In Using Computer Programs For Data Analysis Is Also Required.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Cardiovascular Technician, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients And Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. Candidates Should Possess Excellent Interpersonal Skills To Build Trust And Establish Rapport With Patients, As Well As Collaborate With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.
