Job Description

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a skilled and passionate Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team.   1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of medical equipment, including but not limited to, patient monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators.
  2. Troubleshoot equipment issues and diagnose problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when handling and working on medical equipment.
  5. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and management regarding equipment issues, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
  6. Stay current with technological advancements and industry standards in medical equipment.
  7. Work with vendors and manufacturers to obtain necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding equipment maintenance and repairs.
  10. Train and support other healthcare staff on proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  11. Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with patients, staff, and vendors.
  12. Prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines and ensure equipment is functioning properly at all times.
  13. Provide on-call support for emergency equipment repairs.
  14. Continuously strive to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
  15. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Completion Of A Formal Training Program In Biomedical Equipment Technology.

  • Certification As A Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet) Or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (Cres).

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Equipment, Including Installation, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.
