If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Business Development Manager (Licensing), Games at Tencent Holdings. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing strategic partnerships and licensing opportunities for our games division. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with strong business acumen and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.   1. Identify and pursue potential licensing and partnership opportunities for the games division of Tencent Holdings.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the gaming industry, including publishers, developers, and other potential partners.
  3. Negotiate and close licensing deals that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  4. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential growth areas and new business opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including game developers and product managers, to assess potential partnerships and evaluate the potential impact on the business.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue and profitability from licensing deals.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  8. Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to stay informed about potential partnerships and licensing opportunities.
  9. Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure all licensing agreements are in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  10. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of ongoing licensing deals and partnership efforts.
  11. Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to promote and maximize the visibility of new partnerships and licensing deals.
  12. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to network, build relationships and promote the company's gaming division.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Licensing Within The Gaming Industry: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Licensing, With A Strong Understanding Of The Gaming Industry And Its Trends. This Experience Should Include Successful Deals And Partnerships With Major Gaming Companies.

  • Strategic Mindset And Business Development Skills: The Senior Business Development Manager Should Be Able To Think Strategically And Identify New Business Opportunities That Align With Tencent's Overall Objectives. They Should Also Have Strong Negotiation Skills And Be Able To Close Deals That Benefit Both Parties.

  • Strong Network And Industry Connections: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Strong Network And Established Connections Within The Gaming Industry, Including Key Decision-Makers At Major Gaming Companies. This Will Allow Them To Easily Build Relationships And Negotiate Deals.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Licensing Regulations And Contracts: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Licensing Regulations And Be Able To Navigate Complex Contracts. This Includes Knowledge Of Copyright Laws, Intellectual Property Rights, And Other Legal Considerations Related To Licensing.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Role, The Business Development Manager Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Partners And Stakeholders. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role, Including The Ability To Effectively Present And Negotiate Deals.
