- Provide direct advocacy and support to victims of crime and violence on Temple University's campus.
- Collaborate with campus resources and community partners to ensure victims have access to necessary support services.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in victim advocacy and related laws and policies.
- Develop and implement training programs for volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide effective support to victims.
- Coordinate and manage a team of volunteers, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with other departments and organizations on campus to raise awareness and educate the community on issues related to victimization.
- Keep detailed and confidential records of victim interactions and services provided.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency victim support services.
- Conduct outreach and engage with students, faculty, and staff to promote the services offered by the Victim Advocacy & Volunteer Coordination team.
- Attend relevant trainings and conferences to stay current on best practices in victim advocacy and volunteer management.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Serve as a liaison between victims and campus authorities, providing support and guidance throughout any legal proceedings.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor and team members to ensure a collaborative and cohesive approach to victim support.
- Uphold the mission and values of Temple University and the Victim Advocacy & Volunteer Coordination team.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Victim Advocacy Or Volunteer Coordination.
Knowledge Of Trauma-Informed Care And Victim Rights.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills To Effectively Work With Diverse Populations.
Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Discretion And Professionalism.
